Performance live: “Donkey Dance” by Sandra Božić
Donkey Dance is a new performance art piece that is a mix of emotions, senses and time. And the way of using all of them, together. It is performance with autobiographical character, presented like an animation to be seen, felt and observe during it plays. One part is from the early past – music, which is world piece known in Japan as Neko Funjatta (I Stepped on the Cat), in Spain as La Chocolatera, in the Netherlands as Vlooienmars (Flea March), in Belgium as Valse de Puce (Flea Waltz), in Germany Der Flohwalzer (Flea Waltz), in Russia as Sobachiy Val’s ( Dog Waltz), in Poland as Kotlety (Cutlet), in Hungary as Szamárinduló (Donkey March), in Majorca as Polca de los Tontos (Fools’ Polka), in Mexico it is called Los Changuitos (The Little Monkeys), in Finland Kissanpolkka (Cat’s Polka), in the Czech Republic “Prasečí valčík” (Pig Waltz), in China it is called Flea Waltz, in the United Kingdom, the melody is known as Chopsticks , in Serbia it’s called Magareći valcer (Donkey Waltz), …while other part, physical appearance and movement are present time, as final spot of the performance. The two things are connected to show Donkey Dance of Sandra Bozic.
